§ 01 · What Cookies Are
What cookies are
In plain English: cookies are tiny text files a site stores on your device so it can remember things — like keeping you logged in between pages.
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make sites work, or work more efficiently, and to provide information to the site's operators. Similar technologies — such as local storage, pixels, and software development kits — perform comparable functions, and references to "cookies" in this policy include those technologies where the context allows.
This Cookie Policy ("Policy") explains how DP Aviation Intelligence ("DPAI," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on our websites and applications, including SkyRoute Optimizer, Skyline, and SkyGo (collectively, the "Services"). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
§ 02 · Why We Use Them
Why we use cookies
In plain English: some cookies keep the lights on — logging you in and keeping you secure. Others, which are optional, help us understand how the Services are used so we can improve them.
We use cookies to operate and secure the Services, remember your preferences, understand how the Services are used, and improve performance. Some cookies are strictly necessary for the Services to function, while others are optional and used only where permitted or with your consent.
We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles about you, and we do not share cookie data for cross-context behavioral advertising.
§ 03 · Types We Serve
Types of cookies we serve
In plain English: think of it as a short menu — essential cookies are always on, while analytics and preference cookies are optional and you can skip them.
We use the following categories of cookies and similar technologies:
- Strictly necessary cookies — required for core functionality such as signing in, securing your session, load balancing, and remembering items during your visit. These cannot be switched off through our controls because the Services would not work without them.
- Performance and analytics cookies — help us understand how visitors use the Services, which pages are popular, and where to improve. The information is aggregated and used to optimize the experience.
- Functional and preference cookies — remember choices you make, such as language or region, so we can provide a more personalized experience.
Optional cookies are set only where permitted by applicable law and, where required, with your consent.
§ 04 · First & Third Party
First-party and third-party cookies
In plain English: some cookies are set by us directly; a few are set by trusted providers who help us run things like analytics. Those providers have their own policies too.
First-party cookies are set by DPAI directly. Third-party cookies are set by service providers we use to help operate, secure, and measure the Services — for example, infrastructure, security, and analytics partners.
These third parties may process information in accordance with their own privacy and cookie policies, which we encourage you to review. We work with providers bound by contract to use data only on our instructions and for the purposes we specify.
§ 05 · How Long They Last
How long cookies last
In plain English: some cookies disappear when you close your browser; others stick around for a while so we can remember you next time. None stay longer than they need to.
Cookies are either "session" cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or "persistent" cookies, which remain on your device until they expire or you delete them. We set retention periods appropriate to each cookie's purpose, and we do not keep cookie data longer than necessary for the purposes described in this Policy.
§ 06 · Other Technologies
Other similar technologies
In plain English: besides classic cookies, we may use things like local storage and tiny pixels in emails — they do similar jobs, like remembering settings or telling us a message was opened.
In addition to cookies, we may use local storage, session storage, pixels, tags, and software development kits to store preferences, measure engagement, and support security. In emails we send, small pixels may indicate whether a message was opened or a link was clicked, helping us understand the effectiveness of our communications.
These technologies are subject to the same choices and controls described in this Policy where technically feasible.
§ 07 · Managing Cookies
Managing your cookies
In plain English: you're in charge of the optional courses. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies through any banner we show, and you can clear or block cookies anytime in your browser settings.
Where required, we present a cookie banner or settings control that lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. You can change your choices at any time using that control where available.
You can also manage cookies through your browser settings — most browsers let you view, delete, and block cookies, and notify you when one is being set. Because controls vary, please refer to your browser's help pages. Disabling certain cookies may affect how the Services function; strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled without breaking core features.
§ 08 · Do Not Track
Do Not Track and global signals
In plain English: if your browser sends a "don't track me" signal, we respect recognized opt-out preferences where the law requires us to. Since we don't run ad tracking, there's little to opt out of anyway.
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting or a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. There is no universal standard for how DNT signals should be interpreted; where applicable law requires us to honor a recognized opt-out preference signal such as GPC, we do so.
Because we do not use cookies for cross-context behavioral advertising, we do not sell or share personal information through cookies in the way those terms are typically defined.
§ 09 · Changes
Changes to this policy
In plain English: we may update this menu as DPAI evolves. For meaningful changes, we'll give you clear notice — and we'll always show the date it last changed.
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice, such as by posting the updated Policy on this page with a new "Last updated" date or by notifying you through the Services or by email.
Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
§ 10 · Contact
Contact us
In plain English: questions about our cookies, or want to change your choices? Talk to a human — we're happy to help.
If you have questions about this Policy or how we use cookies, reach out and a real person will get back to you:
