Privacy Policy, in plain English.

Think of this as the magazine in your seat-back pocket — the easy read on what data DPAI collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the controls you have. The formal language is all here; we just put the human version first, right beside it.

§ 01 · Overview

Overview

In plain English: this policy explains what personal information DPAI handles and how. We collect what we need to run the Services, we're upfront about it, and we don't sell your personal data.

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how DP Aviation Intelligence ("DPAI," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit our websites, use our applications, or otherwise interact with our products and services, including SkyRoute Optimizer, Skyline, and SkyGo (collectively, the "Services").

This Policy works alongside our Terms of Service and is incorporated into them by reference. By using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

§ 02 · What We Collect

Information we collect

In plain English: three buckets — details you give us (like your name and email), data we collect automatically when you use DPAI, and the content you bring into the platform.

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Information you provide — such as your name, work email, company, role, and account credentials when you register, request a demo, or contact us.
  • Customer Data — the files, queries, and content you submit to the Services in the course of your work, as described in our Terms of Service.
  • Usage and device data — log data, IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, features used, and timestamps, collected automatically as you interact with the Services.
  • Communications — records of your correspondence with us, including support requests and feedback.

You can choose not to provide certain information, but some features of the Services may not function without it.

§ 03 · How We Use It

How we use information

In plain English: we use your data to run, secure, and improve DPAI — and to talk to you about it. We do not sell your personal information.

We use the information we collect to:

  • provide, operate, maintain, and secure the Services;
  • authenticate users, prevent fraud, and protect against abuse;
  • respond to your requests and provide customer support;
  • analyze usage to understand, troubleshoot, and improve our products;
  • send service, security, and administrative messages, and — where permitted — relevant product updates you can opt out of;
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

We may create aggregated or de-identified data for analytics, benchmarking, and product improvement. Such data does not identify you or any individual, and we do not attempt to re-identify it. We do not sell your personal information.

§ 04 · Cookies & Tracking

Cookies and similar technologies

In plain English: some cookies are essential to keep you logged in and the site working; others help us understand usage. You can control the optional ones through your browser or our controls.

We and our service providers use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the Services, remember your preferences, keep your session secure, and measure performance. Essential cookies are required for core functionality; analytics and preference cookies are optional.

You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings, and where required we will request your consent for non-essential cookies. Disabling some cookies may affect how the Services work.

§ 05 · How We Share It

How we share information

In plain English: we share data only with vetted providers who help us run DPAI, when the law requires it, or to protect people — always under appropriate safeguards. We don't trade your data.

We may share personal information with:

  • Service providers and processors — vendors that host, process, or support the Services (such as cloud hosting, analytics, and payment processing), bound by contract to use the data only on our instructions;
  • Professional advisors — auditors, lawyers, and insurers, where reasonably necessary;
  • Corporate transactions — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy;
  • Legal and safety — when required by law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of DPAI, our users, or the public.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

§ 06 · Third-Party Data

Third-party data and integrations

In plain English: DPAI blends many traditional and alternative data sources, including location intelligence that is aggregated and privacy-safe by design — insight without exposing individuals.

The Services combine proprietary DPAI intelligence with traditional and alternative data drawn from third-party providers, public sources, and partners. Where we use location or movement signals, they are aggregated and privacy-safe by design, intended to reveal market-level patterns rather than to identify any individual.

Some third-party integrations or services may collect information under their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties we do not control; we encourage you to review their policies.

§ 07 · Data Security

How we protect your data

In plain English: we use industry-standard safeguards to protect your data, but no system is perfectly secure — so we ask you to help by keeping your credentials safe.

We maintain administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. These include encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring appropriate to the sensitivity of the data.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for notifying us promptly at hello@getdpai.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

§ 08 · Data Retention

How long we keep it

In plain English: we keep personal information only as long as we need it to provide the Services and meet our legal obligations — then we delete or de-identify it.

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary by the type of data and the purpose for which it was collected.

When information is no longer required, we delete it or de-identify it in accordance with our standard retention practices. Where export functionality is provided, you are responsible for exporting any data you wish to retain before account termination.

§ 09 · Your Rights & Choices

Your rights and choices

In plain English: depending on where you live, you can ask to see, correct, export, or delete your personal data — and opt out of marketing. Just reach out and we'll help.

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, update, port, or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You can also opt out of marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@getdpai.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity first. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. If we process data on behalf of a customer, we will direct your request to the relevant customer where appropriate.

§ 10 · International Transfers

International data transfers

In plain English: DPAI is based in the United States, so your data may be processed here. Where we move data across borders, we use appropriate legal safeguards.

DPAI is headquartered in the United States, and the information we collect may be processed in the U.S. or other countries where we or our service providers operate. These countries may have data-protection laws that differ from those in your jurisdiction.

Where required, we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms — such as standard contractual clauses — to safeguard personal information transferred across borders.

§ 11 · Children's Privacy

Children's privacy

In plain English: DPAI is a business tool, not for children. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

The Services are intended for business use by professionals and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

§ 12 · Changes

Changes to this policy

In plain English: we may update this Policy as DPAI evolves. For meaningful changes, we'll give you clear notice — and we'll always show the date it last changed.

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice, such as by posting the updated Policy on this page with a new "Last updated" date or by notifying you through the Services or by email.

Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.

§ 13 · Contact

In plain English: questions about your privacy, or want to exercise a right? Talk to a human — we're happy to help.

If you have questions about this Policy or how we handle your information, reach out and a real person will get back to you:
